Bburago Ferrari LaFerrari

So after a long time wondering if I must by the HW or HWE LaFerrari I decided rather to be cheap and buy the Bburago. At half the price of a HW foundation model it's a bargain. The model is not perfect with the two flaws standing out. One is the gap where the front wheel arch flows into the side, a gap as big as the Grand Canyon (picture 4). The second one is the back wheels, they are missed aligned because the wheels are not connected by a solid axle (picture 8). The rest of the model is nicely done, the engine is well detailed and I found no paint mistakes. In summary for what you pay for this is a good model. 

Bburgo Lamborgini Aventador

The Lamborghini Aventador is currently one of the apex super cars, maybe not as fast a Veyron (350 vs 400 km/h) but definitely up there with the Ferrari's. One thing about  Lamborghini's I like is how good they look in bright colors, A yellow or lime green Lamborghini's just looks good, the same as the orange one, few other cars can do that.

I got the Bburgo really cheap so I did not expect much but surprisingly it was not too bad. Okay the detail may not be as good as Autoart or so but still interior looks good and because the engine is mostly covered by plastic panels you in any case see not going to see much detail in the engine bay. Outside also descend details like the brakes.

All in all a nice 'entry' model.

Bburago 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing Coupé

After I added the 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Touring to my collection I just had to have the coupe, a classic pair of one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Famously know as the Gullwing this must surely be one of the most beautiful and famous Mercedes of all time. This model, like my other 300 SL, is also made by Bburgo, scale 1:18, and finished in red. I would have preferred a red interior but the brown also looks good.

Bburargo 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Touring

My Xmas present this year was this stunning Bburgo 1:18 model of  a 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL. One of the most sought after collectors cars the 300 SL is also known as the gull wing car although mine is a open top. The interior detail is really very high on a model of this price.

57 Mercedes Benz 300SL

The Mercedes-Benz 300SL was the first iteration of the SL-Class grand tourer convertibles and fastest production car of its day. Internally numbered W198, it was introduced in 1954 as a two-seat sports car with distinctive gull-wing doors and later offered as an open roadster.

Built by Daimler-Benz AG, the fuel-injected production model was based on the company's highly successful yet somewhat less powerful carbureted 1952 race car, the Mercedes-Benz 300SL (W194).

The idea of a toned-down W194 tailored to affluent performance enthusiasts in the booming post-war American market was suggested by Max Hoffman. As such, it was introduced at the 1954 New York Auto Show rather than the Frankfurt or Geneva shows other Mercedes models made their debuts at. The "300" in its name referred to its three litre engine displacement, and "SL" stood for "Sport Leicht" (Sport Light).

The 300SL was best known for its distinctive gull wing doors, first-ever consumer fuel-injection, and world's fastest top speed. The gull wing version was available from March 1955 to 1957, the roadster from 1958 to 1963.

Bburago Lamborghini Sesto Elemnto

The Lamborghini Sesto Elemnto was developed by Lamborghini exclusively for the race track. This is a 1:24 Lamborghini Sesto Elemnto from Burago. What's interesting is that Lamborghini only plan to make 20 and will only deliver them next year (2013). The Sesto Elemnto will do 0 - 100 km/h in only 2.6 sec!

Bburago Porsche 911 (996) GT3 RS

One of my favorite models in my collection is this 1:18 Porsche 911 GT3 RS from Burago. I think it's the red wheels that does if for me. When you say Porsche most people will think of a 911 and thus one of the most beautiful 911's.

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a high-performance sports car built by Porsche since 2003. It is often confused with the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR racecar of 2001 and later, which was based on the Porsche 911 GT3 R of 2000. The RS (short for the German RennSport, literally "racing sport" in English) is mainly a carryover of the Porsche 911 GT3, albeit it is lighter thanks to a polycarbonate rear window, carbon fiber hood and rear wing. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) Carbon fibre-reinforced Silicon Carbide (C/SiC) ceramic composite brakes, which are also more heat and fade resistant than the cast iron units fitted as standard, are optional. The RS has a slightly different engine specification to the GT3. The cylinder heads of the GT3 RS have reshaped intake and exhaust ports for race homologation. Porsche claim the same 381 hp (284 kW) power output as the standard GT3 but Porsche's control dyno showed a jump to nearly 400 hp (298 kW) The RS has progressive springs rather than linear. The dampers are uprated and are between 10 and 15 percent stiffer than the normal GT3 in bounce and rebound. The wheel carriers are totally redesigned to maximize the improved dynamic camber control. The suspension top mounts can be turned 120 degrees to a cup car position. Both front and rear control arms are adjustable. The RS is 3 mm (0.1 in) lower than the standard car. The RS rear wing delivers 35 kg (77 lb) of downforce at 125 mph (201 km/h). The RS has ram air ducts on the engine bay which force air into the intake with 18Mb of pressure at 187 mph (301 km/h) and this is enough to create an additional 15 bhp (11 kW; 15 PS). That extra bhp cannot be homologated since the official engine output figures are certified on a dyno. Only 140 right hand drive GT3 RS cars were built by Porsche and 113 of those were officially imported into to the UK. The GT3 RS was not sold in USA or Canada. The original Porsche 996 GT3 RS had a production run from 2003 to 2005. The "RS" moniker, and the characteristic lightweight blue or red wheels and "GT3 RS" side stickers link the GT3 RS to historically important Porsches such as the Carrera 2.7 RS of the early 1970s.Automobile magazines claim the GT3 RS can accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 4.3 seconds, maintain over 1.0g on the skidpad.
