Autoart McLaren F1 Stealth

Few super cars can lay claim to the same fame as the McLaren F1. Holder of the title of the fastest production car for longer (1995 - 2005) than most the McLaren can reach a top speed of 386 km/h.

What makes the McLaren also unique is that it's a 3 seater, with driver in the middle for the best possible driving position. Powered by a BMW V12 the power output is a modest 486 kW compared for example to a Veyrons 750 kW.

Most reviewers does not like Gran Tourism Stealth F1 preferring the more authentic gold or silver cars or the orange F1 GTR. However I love this car in the black carbon. The composite detail of the body work is stunning. A nice touch is the matching racing helmet that comes with the model.

Not a cheap model but worth it.

Autoart Lotus Esprit V8

My second Autoart model is also a black one and this time of a 80's icon the Lotus Esprit. The Esprit was made famous a the submarine car in one of the James Bond movies. Apart from that I don't think it ever got  the attention it deserved because be honest it's a very attractive looking car.

This model also comes out in red and yellow, I think the the best color would be yellow but not that their is anything wrong with the black apart from the fact that it's shows dirt and dust easily. The model really is top class, paint work is perfect and the detail inside, outside and underneath is top class.

What do really like most about this model? I must say that I have not seen a car with the level of detail underneath than what's on the Lotus. From the front radiator fans till the suspension tie up to the gear box in the back, really well done.

Autoart Porsche 911 (997) GT3 Cup Plain Body

This beautiful black Porsche 997 GT3 is my first Autoart model and to say that I'm excited about it is a understatement. The detail on this model is really of a very high standard on the inside and outside. '

I normally don't like the black or dark colors simply because they show dust so quickly, that is why I will keep it in its window box for now.

Unfortunately getting Autoart models here in South Africa is not only very difficult but also very expensive. Most models go for more than $200 (ZAR 3000) so when I get this one for $65 (ZAR 1000) is was a bargain.

There is a few Autoart GT3 racing Porsche's to choose from so hopefully I'll add a companion for this one soon.

So what do I like most about this model? I think the black exterior with the white interior that high lights all the inside detail really goes well together.

Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari 458 GT2 - #89 Team Farnbacher

This is my third Le Mans Ferrari, I also have a 365 GTB4 and F40 in my collection. The 458 GT2 is one of my most aggressive looking Ferrari's in my collection, maybe only rivaled by the F12.

There are so much that I like about this car, the interior I think is very nice and also outside advertising details are top notch. In some reviews they complain that the engine looks plastic but I can't say the same.

For some the paint schema might look dull compared with some of the other HWE 458 GT2's available but it grows on you and is something different from the normal red deliveries.

Mean looking

One of the best detailed HWE cockpits I seen so far.

Italia, GT2 and Spider. Three of the same but not the same.

Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano - Panamerica 20000

Panamerica 20,000 - As part of the 2006 launch of the new 599 GTB, Ferrari used a pair of 599's (red and blue) to take a 20 000 road trip from Rio to New York. The trip was divided into 15 stages and took 84 days to complete crossing thru 16 countries. The 2 cars was stock standard apart from some extra under body protection and a little raised high.

What I love about my 599 GTB HWE is the graphic's on this car, the white on blue looks great. Inside the car details is also very good and in the boot it even has two suite cases. All round a very nice addition to my collection.
